What wheel setup are you running
I currently have the AMG rims for the E class (not the 63 rims though). Here are my specs
Front Wheels: 8.5Jx18 Offset = 38 (p/n B66031462 - A2114016602)
Rear Wheels: 9Jx18 Offset = 39 (p/n B66031463 - A2114016702)
then again it's an E320 so i guess it wasn't made to corner hard.
the sidewall brings tears to my eyes sometimes
it probably is my tires, but i've just been given the vehicle so i'm in the process of fixing/adding things one by one.
right now i'm nearly happy with the interior just need to finish up the speakers. maybe do XM/SIRIUS to complete the amenities.
my suspension is perfectly fine. i am pretty sure it's just the mediocre tires. 4matic does a lot of the work so even mediocre tires perform well up here (or have in my experience so far).

Love the style, but my Jaguar S-Type Sport (17 inch rims) offers more comfort, even without air suspension...

Eventually found some stock 16" E320 wheels with nearly new Michelins on CL. Ride quality and noise improved a lot. I paid $150 for the set and sold off the chrome 17" to some guy that was really excited about chrome lol.
I installed th 16" wheels with 20mm spacers. The tires are 215/55R16 so 30mm narrower than the 17".
I also have a set of W140 16" wheels with Bridgestone blizzaks snow tires 215/55R16. I've used these on both the E320 and C320 whenever we go up to the mountains. They're fantastic on snow and ice but noisy at freeway speed. No spacers to leave clearance for chains if required.
Yes you can drill out other M12 wheels to M14. I've done it on my full size spare, it works but I wouldn't recommend it.
