Drivers side rear axle inner CV boot torn
I changed the rear diff fluids on my 05 E320 CDI last evening, and I noticed the inner CV boot has a very small hole/crack in it and started to ooze. Joint seems totally OK. I've done this job on a few different cars over the years, and even though it is a messy job you can typically just replace the boot. Well, I've searched everywhere and I can't find anyone including MB that offers a new replacement boot. Does anyone know if this is available?

Did you try EPC to find part number?
In the mean time if that is just small hole - seal it with polyurethane caulk.

Did you check rockauto? They claim to carry a boot that will work. Same one also on eBay but for more money.

Interesting...it does say this would fit the REAR inner or outer CV boot. Hell for $11 I may try it if the polyurethane doesn't work. I hate doing this job!
Thanks for the tip. I bought a SACHS clutch kit and brand new Luk dual mass flywheel for my 993 Porsche a few years back. Quality parts and I swear it's hard to beat these guys prices most of the time.

Considering what MB charges for a new axle, that's probably the way to go. Otherwise try getting a used one at a junkyard and if the boots are ripped, send them out to some company that will rebuild them like raxles, They usually don't carry the axle, but if you send it in, they will reboot and rebuild it.
