had an auto trans service? the first example you provided sounds like it could be low on trans fluid, but dont take my word until we see those codes

Don't forget about replacing the transmission connector, it's a cheap part, but once it starts wicking up transmission fluid, strange things start to happen.

Yes thats another thing worth replacing, it connects the transmission wiring loom to the conductor plate, from memory the bolt is a 6mm?

Clear ALL codes (your trans. codes are stored, but not active), triple check the fluid level (I think it'll be low), test drive, see what codes return. There appears to be maintenance required on a few areas of this car,

Yeah, it might actually be ok once the codes are cleared. You have other issues with the car. Search for intake manifold, sounds like it's also time for a new intake manifold. Camshaft sensors might also need to be replaced, but those error codes are stored not present so maybe it'll be ok once everything is cleared. Once cleared, scan again after driving for a bit to see if codes come back.

did the workshop who replaced the torque converter scan and clear the codes once they were satisfied with the work? if not as suggested above i'd be clearing and test driving than have a re-scan on the codes to see what returns.
may be worth adapting the transmission yourself while your at it
have a look at the tumble flap shafts to see if they've broken away from their linkage's
