Boot (trunk) latch cover - third replacement!

I've now broken three of the little plastic covers inside the car boot, surrounding the U-bar end of the locking mechanism just inside the tailgate. Cheap plastic that snags and rips every time you drag something heavy/ awkward out. ie most things. MB - you could do better.

Do you mean that little plastic cover more-or-less stays in place, but manages to snag on cargo and gets broken that way? In my car, the plastic cover you are describing isn't really fastened to anything (it's got tabs on one end, but they don't hook securely) and so nothing but gravity holds it in place. When cargo drags over it, mine tends to pop out of place, not break. Does duct tape come in black as well as silver?

Yes. Back in my DJ days, black duct tape was the glue that held the world together.

Mercedes w211 plastic boot latch cover.

Hi there.
I'm new to this great forum.
I can't seem to find anything on the net for a replacement, plastic boot latch cover.
The plastic centre flap is broken and the only part number that is on it is. 2116940133.
Yet I can't find anything on the net.
Any suggestions?
Cheers
