Where to place the jack stands?

With the W211 being a big, heavy, beast of a platform, I was thinking where would the best places to use jack stands after jacking up one side and pulling off the rims/tires?

You know, I briefly considered consulting the Book of Knowledge (i.e., Google) but I was afraid I was going to land on only the first pic of a 5 pic series showing "where I put my jack stands..." but what would not have come up in the search were the 4 following pics detailing the horror show of bent, spindled and mangled W211 undersides and/or the car sitting wheel-less on the garage floor when things went horribly wrong. Back in the bad old days, poor man's jack stands consisted of the rims being slid under the car once the lug nuts were removed.

I suggest you not consider jackstands suitable for working on your Mercedes
