W211 04 e320 misfire

Hello everyone. Loooooooooooong time lurker and new member. Own a 02 cl55 amg with 190k miles and a 08 ml350 with 170k miles. I turn my own wrench and have access to a lift and garage tools which is one of the reasons I can buy German cars. Unfortunately I have come across a hurdle when trying to fix my cousins 04 e320 wagon with 220k miles. He keeps getting p0300 with cylinder 2 and 5. So far me and cousin have changed the spark plugs, ignition coils, new maf sensor. Visually checked for any vacuum leaks but nothing. It runs fine in the beginning but when u rev it over 2000-3000 rpm it misfires like crazy. We r gonna check the fuel pressure next and check if the ecm is bad by checking the fuel injector connection using noid light. Any common failure of parts that I should check??

Removed the cat and the misfire while accelerating hard is still there. Changed the fuel filter but still no change. When revving over 3k rpm it would start misfiring like crazy even after i let off the gas. But when I shut it off and remove the key and then start it back again no misfire and it won’t misfire if I keep the rev counter under 3k-2.5k rpm. Help
