I bought that for our w211 back 3 years ago. I can control music from the steering wheel using the stock head unit.

Only time I disconnect it is when I am on BT phone calls. At first BT was fine with calls but then I started to see it arguing over the stock headunit's bt when trying to control bt for calls. I would be talking and it would go blank. As soon as I disconnected from the call the music would pick back up. So now I just simply unplug it if I am going to make a BT phone call and let the stock head unit take control. When I don't call I just keep it plugged in and all the streaming pandora/spotify goes to that unit. I can control songs from the stock steering wheel controls.

I am on android so no music titles display in the gauge cluster. My wife has an iPhone and with an iPhone song titles DO display in the gauge cluster.

@Brandon Kim I had a CoolStream, and it worked OK, but had some issues as calling etc. as @NewShockerGuy stated. My recommendation would be the LaPower (Mr12Volt) bluetooth adapter which takes the place of your CD changer (CDC). See more info here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...adapter-4.html

I have one of these installed in my 2004 E320 and 2008 SL550.

Apparently the Mr 12 volt does not work for NTG 2.5 COMMANDS. do you know if this is true or not?

@Brandon Kim I can't confirm whether Mr12Volt will work for NTG 2.5 or not. HOWEVER, this e bay listing says it will NOT for for NTG 2.5 or above....

Maybe someone else would have more info.

If I could please ask here... I asked Mr 12 volt about installing this on my 2007 E350 and instead of putting it in the 6 disc cd changer I asked if it would work if I used it in the trunk by using the NAV DVD optical wires .. never got a answer would this work anywhere their would be power and fiber optics? , and indeed work in the trunk...? would be a 5 min change over if it will...! thanks .. for the info
