MP3 - Aust Command upgrade didn't work!?

MP3 - Aust Command upgrade didn't work!?
My local dealer ordered the software upgrade which was installed a few days ago. When I went to pick my car up they told me that there were no updates that they could see. I tried putting in a CD-R with MP3 music files in it and got a DVD ERROR message 
HELP!!!
I hope this does not mean the DVD Command in Australia cannot be upgraded to play MP3s
I asked the service tech if they checked with Germany about this upgrade and they said no. So, they couldn't really figure out what happened.

I wonder if I need to burn those MP3 files onto a DVD-R instead of a CD-R??? For those who have the MP3 software upgrade, would you be able to test out if a CD-R with MP3 files will work?
I don't have a DVD burner, but I will buy one if it turns out that it'll work with a DVD-R. I don't know even know anyone here who has a DVD burner

A CD-R works fine for me.
Make sure the have used the version attached below. Note too that it only covers the COMAND Head Units detailed on the cover. They should know which one you have from your VIN.
