Radiator Compatibility

I have been changing all the hoses on my 05 CDI. Some of the hoses looked like they were deteriorating after 15 yrs/200K miles. While I was at it I also changed the heater valve, rest pump, reservoir tank and main water pump. My concerns were well founded. I had multiple hoses that were de-laminating and the water pump had bent vanes and was actually hitting the housing. I took the car for a initial drive and found there was no turbo boost. When I tried to open the hood I found the right side was stuck. My next move was to jack up the car to get the hood open. This is where everything went horribly wrong. Turns out my center cross-member jack point was loose and it slipped off the floor jack. The jack hit the radiator fan and reservoir tank hose, broke both of them. It also put a dent in the radiator. Although the radiator is not leaking I don't feel comfortable leaving it that way. After doing some research I found the correct P/N for a CDI is 2115003202. There are multiple parts sites that also say the gas engine radiator is compatible. Savings is about $100. As long as the hookups and capacity of the gas version is the same or larger, it seems like it would be the way to go. Would rather not spend extra $$ right now. Has anyone used the gas radiator in a CDI.

BTW the turbo issue was a fault with the front high pressure fuel valve. The connector is cracked and it lost communication with the valve. Looking at the dirt on the break, I think it was this way when I purchased the vehicle last year.

Answering my own post. I found a Nissens web page that searched by for replacement parts by vehicle. It also had dimensioned drawings for the parts they sell. The CDI and E55 take the same part which has a thicker heat exchanger than a gas V6/V8 versions. The only thing I can see in common between a CDI and E55 is they are both boosted engines.
