Bilstein B12 suspension review for w211 2005 e320 CDI

Couldn’t find much information on the Bilstein B12 suspension kit on a w211 so I figured I’d post my experience with it. When I bought my 2005 e320 CDI the wheel gap was insane looking. The car handled like a boat and was very bouncy. Turns out both of the rear springs were broken near the bottom where it sits on the lower control arm! I installed the Bilstein b12 kit (H&r sport springs paired with Bilstein b8 struts) and it feels like a completely different car, and it sits about 2 inches lower all around. The front struts have an adjustable c clip that changes the ride height and I adjusted it the the very bottom ring. Overall the ride quality is still very good and the handling is night and day in comparison to the stock setup. The only real complaint I have is that the rear feels a lot stiffer than the front. I can definitely feel bumps on the road now but it’s not bad or anything. My girlfriend’s Honda is way less comfortable of a ride. See the pics for a before and after of that insane front wheel gap! Btw my car came with non-airmatic standard suspension. I also replaced the stock 16in wheels with 18in.
