E320 Mud Flaps ??

Does anyone know where to get a set of front mudguards that fit the E320 perfectly? The dealer does not carry any nor can they get them. I dont want some tacky aftermarket that you cut to fit.
Seems that the tires tend to through a lot of dirt up on the side of the car doors.

Thumbs up E320 Mud Flaps

My dealer got them for me. Installation, though, cost two hours of labor, about double the cost of the four mud flaps.

If you look closely at the picture in my signature you will see that I have Mercedes-Benz mud-flaps fitted. They are very practical and do not look obtrusive. (In my opinion)

Good luck,
John

They’re should be available as an MBUSA accessory through parts. Go to mbusa.com and build a ’05, jump to step 3 – accessories, vehicle care & protection (list $81).

Are there anyone within the US who have purchased these flaps? According to the web site, it is $81 but I'm not sure whether that's for 1 pair (front or back) or all fours.

TIA

To the best of my recollection they’re sold in front & rear sets. Stands to reason that $81 list quotes 1 pair (either front or rear).

Mud Flaps

For a 2004 E320 Wagon, the mud flaps cost $59 for the front and $49 for the rear. The part numbers are 6-6-52-8214 for the front and 6-6-52-8216 for the rear. At least, that's what's on the invoice.

Thanks to Konigstiger and 2004E320S

I have been wondering about the flaps. Am considering it but am afraid that they may protrude too much as to bottom out whenever I go through a speed bump. This was exactly what happened to me on my 3 series BMW.

Also, per the MBUSA web site, it indicates list price of $81 and then notes that set of 4. Gives the impression that for $81, it covers all 4 flaps.

An apology is in order, I didn’t review the details pop-up at the site. You’re correct they’re saying all four for $81. Falls in line with 2004E320S info. But I’m sure, for the asking, you can get this price discounted. My dealer usually discounts 20% off list (at least in my case). Don’t know how this compares with others here on the forum but the gesture is appreciated nonetheless. I must confess though, haven’t bought anything recently.

A car & A truck
It would seem that $81 is the price if you're ordering it with the car.

My dealer's quoting me $92 for all four. $46 fronts, $46 rears.

Look at my link for a picture of my E320 with the mud flaps. I installed them myself in about an hour. The hardest thing to do is to remove each wheel to make it easier to install the mudflap. The instructions that come with each set is very easy to follow.

Hi Jim

Thanks for the link. Great looking E320

The E class flaps do look good. Doesn't seem to be too protruding.

Have you run into your flaps scraping speed bumps when you go through them faster?

TIA

That looks great! I guess the next time I pick the car up from the shop, I will try and see if I can get a set.
The last time I was in there they told me that MB does not have any for the E320s, but I'll take the part numbers in this time and see what they can do for me.

I haven't had any scraping problems with speed bumps or other problems. I suppose they might hit if you backed into a parking place with a curb. They have 4 1/2 inch clearance behind the front wheels and 6 1/4 inches behind the back wheels.
I have been used to having mud flaps from my many Volvos and found the part numbers for the W202 we had about a year after we bought the car. The mud flaps made such a difference in the mud, oil, tar and other stuff that sticks under the doors that we decided to get the mud flaps for the W211 when we bought it. The dealer had the mud flaps the day we picked up the car so we brought them home with us and installed them that night.
