CHECK ENGINE LIGHT /CODE
My check engine light on My 2005 E320 4MATIC came on ,and obviously it failed the emmisions test. I pulled the code and I got code PO400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction.
When I looked it up online , it recommends to change the EGR valve.
I looked it up and it looks like a not too difficult DIY project . Would there be anything else that would cause that code or anything I should look at before changing the EGR valve ?
Also , is rmeuropean.com ( Rocky Mountain European ) a reputable re-seller of Mercedes OEM parts ?
I usually go with FCPEURO , but they dont have my particular spec part in stock.

On the M112 3.2L v6 gasoline engine, the EGR is relatively easy to get to. You might try cleaning the system first. The valve and the tube can get clogged with carbon. If that doesn't work, then get an oem part.
