Quick tire question.

I have 18x8.5 all around, would it be okay to run 245/45/18 all the way around? I know the speedo would be off but not by much, discount tire said that the tire will fit on the front. I want to know if I will have any issues with the esp system etc if I get that size tires. Thank you.

if your wheels are square setup the tires need to be also.

Don't think the width of the tire will make much of a difference in comfort.

Not sure what you have been running before (16", 17" diameter?), but the 18" inch diameter will definitely provide a harsher and not as comfortable ride.

I have 18's on my E350, and they ride way worse than when I had 16's on a previous E320, even with Michelin Pilot Sports all around. However, the 18's definitely look much better.

Are the 18" inch wheels you have OEM Mercedes for a W211, and are you sure that the offset will work for your car? I am pretty sure you can run either the 235 or 245 tire, as long as your rims have the correct offset and therefore will not rub.

But the real question is, can you feel a 0.2" difference in the sidewall in overall comfort? If your priority is comfort, i would go with the 45 aspect ratio for sidewall.
Both tires the OP is listing are having a 45 sidewall, but 235 and 245 width.

the side wall height is a percentage of the width so a 245 45 is going to be slightly more side wall that a 235 45. From in the car you would not be able to tell that difference in side wall height but more side wall equals more plush ride. I think tire selection would make more difference in ride that 45% of 10mm
