A/C error 95B8
I have a 2004 E320, and the A/C blower motor was squealing, so I replaced the blower motor, no more squealing and blowing lots of air!
However, with the A/C on, I am getting warm air on the drivers (right) side, and cold from the passenger (left) side. Even from the center vent, warm on the left side and cold on the right side. It might have been doing this before changing the motor, not really sure?
I ran a Quick Test using DAS, and got fault code 95B8 on AAC indicating a mechanical fault on the M2/22 center vent flap positioning motor. I did try actuating the center vent using DAS, and it seemed to work ok, but I'm wondering if something isn't properly closed or positioned, or if there is something else wrong?
I don't know if changing the blower motor caused this or not (might have been doing this prior to changing the blower)? I presume this center vent flap positioning motor is on or near the center vent (top center of dashboard), and changing the blower motor (under glove box) really isn't near that (unless I missing something obvious).
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice. Is it possible that the center vent flap is sticking or broken, or needs its position calibrated?
Let me know if anyone has any suggestions.
Thanks
Lee

I have done both left and right side in my E55 AMG. Don’t pay a shop for this. They will take the complete dash board out, remove the entire HAVC box which also requires evacuating the freon. They will probably charge you $2000+ bc if the labor.
That being said, if you’re in SoCal I would help you but not for free but certainly not for the over inflated prices of stealerships.
