Selling price? please help

Hi guys, I am going to sell my E320 and I need advice on the price.

My car is 2003 E320, I got it on August 2002, It has the following few options:

1. E2 Package: Harman Kardon Sound System and Sun Roof
2. Leather Seat.
3. Extended Warranty Until 100,000 miles or 6 years.
4. Zenon Headlight.
5. Aftermarket CD changer- plays MP3.

The car is in Excellent condition, never had an accident and it is 41,000 miles.

Can anyone please help me give an advice on the price? I check on Kelly Blue Book, and it says that the price for private party sell is $33,000 that without including the extended warranty and zenon headlight plus the mp3 player. The extended warranty worth for $2100 when I bought it. But Edmunds quotes my car for $40,234. Thats also for private party sell. Nada Guides quotes my car for $43,000. Thats also for private party sell. I am confused. Why there is such a big difference between Kelly Blue Book and other used car price guides? why is Kelly Blue Book price is so low?

If anyone of you just sell your car recently, if you dont mind, would you share your experience?

Any help is appreciated.

thanks in advance,

oh btw, I live in LA and the reason I want to sell my car is that I have to move to other country.

Personally I think a price somewhere between the KBB and Edmunds will be reasonable. You could also check the local newspaper to see what a similar car with your options may be selling for on the market. Potential buyers of your car would probably be doing research on KBB and Edmunds also.

'05 E320 CDI;'04 S2k;'94 Supra TT;'10 QX56;'38 Buick;98 Port City Offset Late Model
2-years old, slightly high mileage, currently a $53k car. In NJ, KBB says $32k, Edmunds $38k for a private sale. The MB warranty will make the private sale much easier. Non-factory CD-changer won't add value.

Car is a model that is readily available and does not have a reputation for reliability, which is a bigger used negative then a new negative.

The warranty probably offsets the high mileage and around $34k is probably about right. A dealer would get more. However a dealer would also offer financing.

$34-35K sounds right. Make sure you continue to highlight the 6 yr 100,000 mi extended warranty. You can perform a Starmark used car search on MBUSA.com nationwide or in Southern Cali and gauge what your price ceiling ought to be since MB dealers will get premium dollar. Good luck.

Curious, where are you moving to?

If it was silver with a panorama roof I'd offer you $37K right now for it, local pick-up. But without it, $35K sounds about right with the ext. warranty.
