Electric Trunk Lid Noise
Hi All
I've asked this before but it was a while ago.......
I have the electric trunk lid option. When I push the button to close the lid I get a loud buzzing for a second then once the lid has slammed shut the same noise again. I've tracked the noise down to the little motor / mechanism which closes the lid the last inch once it has almost closed.
Does anybody out there have the same noise, I can't believe it's normal!

Doesn't seem abnormal at all to me. Mine has a slight buzzing through the entire operation--about what I'd expect. Certainly not what I'd call "loud." At any rate, it only lasts 2-3 seconds.

Same here.
The buzzing noise does not bother me though; albeit, it certainly is audible.
Now that you mention it, perhaps I should pass by the dealer and see if the other cars with this feature make the same noise.
..hmm.. maybe I will (not a priority though)..
