Question Help with Fuel Neck Part Number W211 E230 2009

Hi,

I need some help in searching the part number as im not good to understand these pics with part numbers.

From fuel neck, I know about two pipes going to petrol tank, black one is for fuel and white plastic pipe which mechanic calls as air return pipe.

So basically, as per my mechanic, fuel goes in using black pipe and air comes out from white pipe it doesn't cause airlock.

That white pipe got broken and so when I was filling the tank to full, petrol was leaking from this white pipe. Mechanic just removed cracked piece and fixed a stopper to end of white pipe (which is coming from tank side) so petrol wont come out.

Now, whenever I am filling the fuel, it trips after every 2, 3 liters. I have to start fueling again. I need to replace that white plastic pipe which broke down.

I went to spareparts shops here and they were all selling me complete fuel neck, not a single pipe. Which is very expensive and im very tight on my pockets now a days.

I understood from articles and pictures, that individual parts can be purchased and afixed, but I dont know which part or parts should I order.

Any help in this regard is appreciated !

Here is the VIN number: WDBUF52X59B430579

its E230, 2009 Model. Gulf specs car.

Attachment covers all available parts for your VIN. If you’re referring to white line in photo MB does not offer this separately this is why you were offered complete filler neck part # 2114702820 (170 in diagram). If your line has a label as shown in photo individual part # may be listed here.

Tiger is right. It's a unit and should be replaced, although I've heard of cases where the neck has been epoxied and lasts many more years.

Are you throwing a code? CEL?

You might be able to replace the white vapor line with rubber hose with the right inside diameter, it's usually sold by the foot at most parts stores. The hose you use has to be rated for use with gasoline as the vapor could degrade other types of material over time. Obviously since rubber fuel hose isn't rigid it will need to be supported properly so that it doesn't move and come disconnected.
