dashboard clock

Has anyone experienced problems with dashboard clock? It's LATE, would you beleive it? And service says I have to change the whole computer which is controlling the dashboard. It's late either set to sycn with head unit (GPS) or not. 10 minutes per hour - too much huh?

The weirdest thing is that a friend of mine who also owns E320 experiences the same problem.

When synched w/ the head unit w/nav my clock remains dead accurate minute wise. All I can set is the hour.

You know this has been a ‘minor’ concern since getting the car. When I compare MB time (non navigation) to the following, it is always behind about ten minutes.

It was a common problem with W209 and some W211's for MY 2003. The instrument cluster needs to be changed...have it done.

Don’t remember reading here on the forum about this problem. Is, or was there a TSB on this?

What year car do you have? Do you have a compass feature in navigation mode (if you have navigation)? If you do, is the compass an arrow or the letters of the compass heading?

It was on both forums, mainly on the 209. The dealer should have no trouble referencing this problem.

It's 2003, E320 Avantgarde with Airmatic, Navi, Thermotronic, Sunroof and all the rest but Keyless Go.

Yes, I do have a navigation and if the navi disc is inserted the arrow is thin, showing the direction. If the disc is not inserted the arrow is wider and looks more like a compass arrow with "N" on one of it's sides.
