2005 E320 A/C Compressor replacement - help!

Has anyone replaced the A/C compressor on a W211 E320? I'm looking at it and I see all the bolts and connections but I can't for the life of me figure out how I'll be able to remove it or install the new one. There are multiple things in the way on all sides. Please help!

Thanks!

Just an update, after lots of searching I still haven't been able to find a how to video of this repair on YouTube so I may try to make one. I did however find this post on the W211 AMG forum with the PDF instructions but I'm not sure the procedure for mine is exactly the same. Perhaps on the V8 there is more space since it's more forward in relation to the engine mount and subframe. It looks like I'll have to remove the power steering pump to get at the hoses and electrical connection on top and then the three bolts look like they will be accessible from below with some wrangling involved. Since I've got 240,000 miles and I've already replaced literally everything else that's turned by the belt (From FCPeuro with a lifetime warranty - not sponsored, just appreciative) I just went ahead and ordered a rebuilt power steering pump and new reservoir from them.

If anyone has any tips and tricks to share, please do! It would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I've done it on my C320. You unbolt the compressor from the engine from underneath. There's 3 long bolts accessed from the wheel well.

Thanks for the replies! Konigstiger you are a legend when it comes to helping people on this forum! Tjts1 I see how you get the bolts out but I was thinking I'd never be able to undo the refrigerant hoses from the top without removing the power steering pump.

Turns out that once I got the belt off I saw that there was some play and grittiness in the power steering pump so I feel even better about spending the money for a new one. Removed it yesterday and now there is plenty of room to access the A/C compressor.

You just need an allen socket and wiggle joint with an extension. Access is not too bad. Make sure to install new O rings on the connections.
