Grinding/rubbing/clunking when turning at low speeds, $1000 into wrong repairs
The noise comes & goes, & I can’t particularly say when & why it does.
Ex. Went for 1 1/2hr drive yesterday (all highway driving), went to the gas station & circled into the parking stall through the pumps etc, heard it clear as day. 45 minutes later I went to a empty parking lot to get the girlfriend to replicate the noise while I laid down to see if I could hear where it was coming from underneath the car... couldn’t get it to do it.
Previous repairs already include alignment shims, & CV axles on both sides, & no luck. The car was diagnosed by 2 shops & 1 private mechanic. Shop 1 couldn’t find the issue & didn’t have the tools to further inspect, shop 2 did the shims, mechanic did both CV’s.
As far as I’m aware I have no other symptoms. Transmission runs completely fine, shifts normal etc. Drives completely symptom free in a straight line at any speed.
Here’s 2 videos of the issue
