2006 W211 standard frozen inner bearing
Well, after getting a code for a RF speed sensor (ESP, ABS) I grew suspicious of the wrong wheel seal being the issue. I took the wheel assembly apart and well, it was the wheel seal.....and the inner bearing. The inner bearing is stuck on the spindle, and the seal appears damaged as well. I can't tell if the issue was there during the last (sub std) service and they just did their best, or if it developed over time. The bearings roll easy, but I'm not able to confirm if the inner bearing didn't seat all the way, or if something else happened. Whats the best action to take now? Should I order a used RH spindle assy and re-pack & Grease with new seal? I was able to remove the inner bearing from the spindle with a title heat, and the surface appears ok..... Also, the seal that was used did not look like the proper one. It's possible it was used ti get the car out the door..

Make sure you get an MB seal, lots of threads about aftermarket ones not working right.
