Is it possible to install 2009 head unit into 2008 vehicle?

Question Is it possible to install 2009 head unit into 2008 vehicle?
Hi fellas,

I wonder if it's possible to install 2009 head unit into 2008 or older W211 vehicle? If it's possible then which modifications are also required? I see 2009 W211 has sd card reader while 2008 doesn't come with a card reader.

You're basically asking for a NTG1 to NTG 2.5 swap. A lot of parts need to be changed but it's doable. Search for that particular swap on here and you will find threads.
