black leather interior - having doubts

My new e class is in cubanite silver and anthracite leather interior.
I was thinking of light grey or sand leather. But I got a good deal on the above. I am little concerend that the black leather option might not suit this car colour. On my current C class I hav quartz cloth, so it will quite a change to see sucha dark interior.

Any tips on the black leather?

Well, I've just ordered black leather in an E500 wagon with white exterior. Sand would be nice in Cubanite, Grey might be too grey on grey. Anthracite looks sharp. I'd stick to your order.

I went from a light beige interior in a 540i to black/blue inserts in a C32. I desperately wanted a light trim in the AMG but it wasn't available. Now I'm very happy with the dark trim.

The only time black doesn't always look as good is with a really dark exterior, IMO.

How hot does the black leather get, if the vehicle is parked out in the hot sunshine? (when we are occasionally blessed with such a thing)

Your choice still seems the right one though.

That is probably the nicest color combination out there, very rare also. Latent, you will like black interior, it is also easier to keep clean.

Anthracite IS the new sand!

I think the colour combo works well and anthacite is one heck of a lot easier to keep clean. I prefer dark interiors anyway - personal preference.

I live in Arizona where summer temperatures are over 100 degrees and often over 110 degrees. I have had black leather interiors in my MB's for years and wouldn't consider anything else.
I don't believe the ambient temperature makes black and hotter than white. Now, where the sun directly hits the leather that spot will be hotter with black than with white but with most MB colors the temperature difference will be minor. Once you get away from white, the heat absorption is very similar to black.

I have the sand interior, but is very hard to maintain if you have kids....no the leather itself...thats easy but the sand carpet and upholstery inside...mainly the door entry points...in winter its a nightmare.....with snow etc.

Any dark interior will not only look nice but will be easy to maintain. I don't think cubanite is that dark so with silver it should be OK. Stick with the order and see if you can see a car with the combo....

Besides you must have got a good deal to order so quickly.

Get the ventialted seats and the heat it won't matter.

It really takes the heat right off the surface.

HI

With my previous C Class had silver with grey interior. Looked nice but hard to keep clean.
Went for anthracite this time with silver and walnut trim. Looks great and so easy to keep looking good IMO.

Black keeps clean

Very easy to keep looking great. Ash and stone look great in a showroom, but in real life you gotta keep cleaning it relentlessly to keep that look.

...and don't forget: "Nobody does black interiors like MB." If you're worried about the A/C keeping up, I find it to be an excellent system... as good as you remember the best of the old R12 systems to be.

My last Mercedes had a palomino leather interior (a light tan). I was concerned that I might not like the charcoal (are they calling it black now? Is it really a different color than charcoal?), but I'm extremely happy with it! It's much easier to take care of, and it looks fantastic. I think it will look great with the cubanite silver, especially if you get the pano roof! But you ordered the anthracite, right?

I have the black ventilated seats and it definitely still matters but I still wouldn't change anything. I also have the sunshades which I thought were a waste of money until I had them in my BMW and now I would never be without them. The black looks great and really adds a lot of class. My wife has a light gray in her lexus and it looked good in the first few months but now (8 months) shows some dirt. Go black for sure...

Yes, it is referred to as Anthracite, which in my book is black.

Anyone got any tips on how I can keep the full leather in premium condition. This i my first all leather interior?

Thanks! I've obviously not been paying enough attention around here, so I just learned something. I guess I haven't used the word "anthracite" recently and it didn't translate to black in my poor overburdened brain!lol
