What did you hate about it?

REALLY? You think the W212 has a better build quality than the W211? Not sure I agree with that.

I have both. I'm not really sure I can say the W211 has superior build quality. It has a lot more nicer touches than the W212 but requires a lot more work. I do enjoy driving the W211 more than the W212 but the ride in the W212 is actually better because my W212 doesn't have the sports suspension like the W211. Still trying to chase down a front suspension noise, think maybe it's the bushings on my W211, The W212 with new springs/struts is quiet. Got one broken handle on the W211, it's on the passenger side so haven't gotten around to replacing it, not sure if I will. That's not an issue with the W212, they redesigned it so that the buttons don't end up getting corroded by water. Mechanically the W212 is better, cosmetically the W211 is better.

2013 E550 Sedan
With the help of forums like this I bought a 2007 E350 sport in 2013. I knew what engines were affected by the balance shaft (mine wasn't). That said, I sold it 10 months later as It got bothersome having to clear CEL codes quite often. I was more than happy to see the label on the drivers door jamb on the GLK250 we purchased that didn't say Daimler Chrysler! I traded the GLK for a E350 4Matic after 2 years. Fast forward less than 8 months, I traded it for a E550 4Matic. I've owned this over 4 years now, and regret that I didn't do this sooner. YMMV
