Please help! P1337, P2240, and DTC 1337 electrical

Dear Friends, I have had the perfect storm of events with my 2007 mercedes e550 RWD. It all started when I installed a sunvisor camera, cut the 2 volt power wire so I could do the install. There is a bracket with a power source that got in the way. I did not have main battery disconnected.

Then when I starred my car I had a check engine light for p2237, p2240, which suggest an open circuit for o2 sensors pre cat. I changed o2 sensors this weekend and the code remains. There is also a code for dtc 1337, the alternator. From my research this indicates that the car's computer cannot communicate with the alternator and either it is a bad connection or bad voltage regulator.

To further complicate the issue, with something that may or may not be related, I just noticed that my windshield wiper fluid reservoir is leaking fluid all over the place, which happens to be above and in the vicinity of the alternator. Could the water have leaked onto the alternator causing the short??

So here is my plan, please let me know your thoughts:

1. Drain windshield wiper reservoir and drive her a few days, in hopes that water will evaporate and close the short. As a side note, the car drives amazing and I cannot detect any differences even though the check engine light remains.

2. I bought a new wiring harness for the sunvisor, where it all started. Could a cut wire in the sunvisor really effect the motor? Seems nuts but might as well rule it out, and I have found some evidence that this is canbus related.

3. Change the voltage regulator. The code suggests no communication with the alternator and canbus. In the process I will also look for water and spray down with electrical cleaner.

Thanks in advance for your help. I'm so upset about this. From my wife's point of view I installed another "fancy thing" on my car and broke it again. Or is it all by chance? Attached are pics of the codes and sunvisor. Sorry for the glare.

I think you have to realize that none of the water and sun visor wiring issues have nothing to do with the motor issues. Correct those issues and get a good scanner

it was just so odd how when I put in sunvisir and cut wire the check engine light came on. And the water was leaking in the vicinity of the alternator. You know? But it is an old car and had been sitting a few days when the weather got cold.. I'm going to look further into the dtc 1337 code, which suggests and problem with the alternator or voltage regulator this weekend... And forget and the dumb sunvisir theory.
