New 2004 E320 owner - where can I find a trunk liner?

Hi.

Just got a new 2004 E320, and I couldn't be happier.

Now I need to get a trunk liner for it - preferrably one with comparments, etc.

Any idea where I can find one online besides eBay? I'm guessing it'll be cheaper than buying it from the dealership.

Thanks!

If you use a trunk liner you won't have access to the hooks in the floor for your cargo (restaurant leftovers) net. You wouldn't want Marinara sauce to get on your seats, would you? Enjoy your car. The E's are really awesome, all around!

I had one custom cutout for me so I could use the hooks. I had to make the cutout myself and send to Llloyd Mats were www.stylinconcepts.com ordered the mats thru. Barry45RPM is right in saying the normal ones cover the hooks, which wouldnt work for me since i actually use 2 cargo nets.

Email me directly and I will mail you a copy of my cutout which they or anyplace you want to order it from will require....

Will post some pics later....Car at dealership getting tires replaced....

Barry,

Thanks for the reply. So what do you (or anyone) do to keep the trunk clean? And is this safety net standard - I don't remember seeing it.

If anyone knows a place online to get genuine MB accessories, I'd love to see a URL. Thanks.

Carbox

I highly recommend Carbox, custom liners made in Germany. I've ordered them before; the fit and quality are outstanding. Spills, etc., are never an issue.

They are available discounted in the US here:

It is my understanding that the right side (looking in) trunk net is standard for ’04 - MBUSA offers a left side and sill net listing $33 each and a protective tray for $68 list. My ’03 has all 3 nets and the tray. Granted I had to cut out the tray to install the nets but it wasn’t difficult at all. IMO this is an ideal and cost effective setup for cargo management. BTW the tray’s surface stops most if not all items placed from sliding under most driving conditions.

I don’t know where you’re located but Caliber Motors in CA has been known to offer reasonable pricing on accessories. Not sure about low cost cargo items such as these however start there for pricing for comparison to your dealer’s offer.

Do they take into consideration the hooks?

You might also want to try www.weathertech.com I heard the Cargo Liners are of good quality.

$237.45 before shipping? Holy crap.

I only see the side netting on the right side. I'm assuming getting a side net for the "front" of the trunk and left hand side is additional right?

So I'm guessing there aren't any online sites that sell genuine MB cargo trays, unless I'm missing something.

I didnt buy a trunk liner because the liner has a solid bottom & I couldnt use the cargo net/hooks. If the liner is cut out to expose the hooks on the floor, it isnt much of a spill protector. I have a weather tech heavy rubber trunk mat with a ribbed design & slightly raised border at the edge. They come in 2 sizes with lines to cut to make them the exact shape/size. It covers most of the useable trunk floor. (not all the way forward by the seat backs, but that isnt commonly used) I am very happy with it. It protects, it doesnt let much slide around & its low profile.

See It Here: http://www.weathertech.com/store/pro...em_group_id=28

I like the Merc trunck liner. It stops everything from sliding and it is easy to bend to come out to clean while some of the other ones are hard and don't bend to come out easy.

It is easily worth the $50 that it costs.

Does the MB liner allow you to use the cargo mat floor hooks?

No, but it kind of defeats the purpose at it would hold all liquid and dirt and with those holes..

Wouldn't hold the mess, you mean.
Thats why I got the weathertech mat. It keeps the carpeted trunk dry & I can use the cargo net.

Weathertech Trunk Mat

Here u go: Weathertech Rubber Trunk Floor Mat
They make 2 sizes, I dont remember which one I got for my E5 so call them... You have trunk floor protection and still can use the factory cargo mat & tie downs... Works for me!

I am in Canada and I bought it with the car.. $50 or $66, it is still a good price. I can put my daughters stroller in the back and not get the floor dirty in there with sand and mud.

ATS,

Do you have the DVD navigation? I'm assuming the standard E320 cargo mat is shaped with the "wings" on both sides.

Do you know if they have one that takes into account the loss of space with the DVD navigation?

Thanks.
