IS THIS A TRANSMISSION LEAK?

My 2003 E320 seems to be leaking somewhere between the engine and the transmission.

I recently deleted the secondary cats because they were rattling, but after the job was done I never got under to take a look at it, just picked it up and went my way. Today I decided to jack up the car very high from the front to see the job the muffler shop did and it looks great to me. However, because there is a tapping noise under acceleration that I have not been able to identify since I bought the car almost 2 years ago, I took a look at everything under. I had done some research and thought maybe the driveshaft bearing may be broken. I tried moving the driveshaft but it seemed very firm, so who knows.

Anyway, I used my phone to take some pics around the transmission and I found what may be a leak.

If anyone can give their thoughts it will be greatly appreciated. Pic is attached.

Curiously, after I put the car down I went for some errands and noticed that the tapping sound was not happening. Which made me think that if the transmission is the issue, the oil moved from the front to the back while it was jacked up so high and that made something change inside, lubrication wise. Could this be the case or am I sounding crazy?

That looks more like a rear main seal leak. Actually does not look that bad. I would keep an eye on the engine oil level. Only way to fix it would be to remove transmission and replace the rear main seal. Not an easy job!
