2003 E220 211.006 SBC Pump

So I recently bought a 2003 E220 CDI (VIN Check shows it was manufactured in Germany in late 2002). I checked the SBC Pump and it shows a 585 number, which means it was manufactured in May 2005. Given the car is from 2002/03 it is safe to assume that it has been replaced at least once.

My question is as follows, given that the car currently has 170.000km on the clock and that the last time SBC Pump was replaced was 2005, how likely am I to encounter the red screen braking thingy failure anytime soon? Is a SBC Pump from 2005 the revised version? Or is it as likely as the original one to fail?

Thank you all in advance!

Well mine is on 500,000 pushes and going strong..

the red screen thingy is the one in which the system is failing so you need to stop ASAP. the "service brake. visit workshop" is the one you can reset and is usually shown after a certain amount of pedal pushes/actuations...

i wouldn't worry about it until the "service brake" light comes on. and then you can get it serviced. or risk it and reset the counter with Star Diag...
