w211 e320 cdi 2005

Can someone please put my mind at rest (or not)

So I just bought a W211 E320 CDI

2005.

when ever I unlock the car and open a door I get the following message appear in red.

Reduced braking power start engine.

I have replaced both batteries, and the brake light switch as a matter of course but it still appears.

is it a fault or is it normal ?

no fault codes using Delphi.

after 30 seconds ignition off it goes.
start engine it immediately goes.

Definitive diagnose have someone pull codes using MB diagnostics. Try brake switch as depicted in video (part # 0015454009) if this fails you do not list your location, MBUSA extended SBC warranty to 25 years have dealer check it.
