Service B needed in 4000 miles "message"
My car says I should have Service B in 4000 miles. I never had Service A. I did change my oil at 5000 miles.
The service guys tells me that Service A B C so forth are not in sequential order. It just means the type of service you get. Is that true?

In a word..."yes". It is somewhat explained in the manual. On my first E500 I did not have any service but the "C" at about 11,000 miles. I drove it until 18.000 plus and it was not due for any additional service at that time.
