I dont know if the recall apply to everyone but i have received letters for both our W211s.
Its just a simple software update, takes less than 10min..
This is actually the 2nd recall i have received so far.. the first one was to change all seat belt locks
For those who might be interested.. i can scan the letter but everything is in German.

As I recall, the brake recall was directed initally to high mileage vehicles such as taxi cabs in Europe. I've had two E-500's but neither had the brake problem; however, I never received a letter from MBUSA regarding either recall.
