Have any more info? That's about market value, maybe a little lower.

This place is a joke.
Have a dealership perform a PPI (pre-purchase inspection) Any deferred maintenance or needed repairs can easily exceed the value of the car.

https://www.kbb.com/used-cars/ They're going to ask you all kinds of crazy questions like: your location, condition of car, options like sedan or wagon, rear wheel drive or 4matic, private party or dealer sale, etc.. Pretty much all the info not provided here that determines a car's value

no. keep shopping bud.

Not sure what that is on the dipstick, but that's a non-starter for me.

Where are you located and what's your budget? And why an E350, out of curiosity?

Use the forums to help you shop. I found my E63 without knowing much about them, wish I shopped w the people here first. Car is good, but damn I've done a lot of work to it and am still doing work.

I did use the knowledge on this forum to find my G55 and it's a night a day experience knowing what you're walking into.

My suggestion is don't fall in love with an old low mileage car. There's a lot of differred maintainance you're going to have to catch up on. Find an earlier E320 or E500 with service history, regardless of the mileage. Those engines regularly go 400k+ miles. The E350 just doesn't. It's nowhere near as reliable.

That looks like someone tried running the full 10k mile oil change interval with dino oil, or just hasn't been changing the oil period. All of the oil passages in the engine and the hydraulic valve lifters are probably sludged up. I wouldn't even consider it after seeing that dipstick, not to mention the drivers seat, if the cover looks like that the foam has to be broken down as well and would be uncomfortable in no time.

There are enough of these cars out there that have been maintained properly, I'd keep looking. Just avoid the 06-07 model year E350s due to the balance shaft issues.
