Teleaid not activated

Teleaid not activated
When I start my car, I get a "Teleaid Not Activated" in my cluster panel.
I was under the assumption that the dealer was supposed to activate it for me, being that is free for the first year. Am I wrong?

You should have filled out an Activation Agreement w/your salesperson before taking delivery of your car. If you don't remember, it asked for a password, credit card number and signature for you to get the 1st year of Free service. Then once that has been faxed over to Tele-Aid, you have to make an acquaintence call to complete the activation process. If you did not do any of this, you can contact your original salesrep & have him fax you the agreement for you to fill out and you can fax it to Tele-Aid yourself. Then make the acquaintence call (press the "i" button in the center console) about an hour after faxing it to them, then you will not get that message when starting.

Thank you both Barry and Marcus……I never got an acquaintance call…..
I filled out an Activation Agreement with the salesperson before taking delivery of the car, password, credit card number and signature.
I have a feeling that the salesman never faxed it. Great. Thanks for the info again.

On a second note....I should probably not pick on my salesman. He probably did do all the steps required and all I need to do is call them via the I button. I will try that in the morning. If that doesn't work, then I'll pick on him (wink).

My dealer made the first call for me while I was in the car getting the "run down" on everything... The next day I noticed the "teleaid not activated" on the panel at start-up. It wasn't untill I called for a second time and asked them to re-activate it again it went away never to be seen again...
