E500 died while driving, wont start. HELP

E500 died while driving, wont start. HELP
Checked all engine and boot fuses.. all ok. Not the fuel sensor as I topped up gas a couple of days ago, doesnt seem to be the battery or alternator as havent noticed any symptoms eg, dimming.

vid. Car sometimes starts and revs but does not sustain. From what ive read, my guess is crankshaft position sensor, hoping its not fuel pump or spark plugs. I need to get a pressure gauge to confirm.
Thoughts??
Edit: tried extensive check with OBD2 scanner.. nothing
Edit 2: yup... It was the fuel pump.

Just replace crankcase position sensor. It's like 20 bucks or something insignificant, and takes about 20 min or less to replace w the right tools. Foolish not to replace, even if you find it's something else causing the no run issue. After reading about this and some other things about w211's, it's the first thing i did was replace it when i bought the car. Now i know the history, and i know for sure it will never be the CPS as an issue. Also the alternator regulator has a tendency to poop on people, fyi. Also cheap, but harder to access. I digress.
I always start cheapest fix then work my way up to most expensive. I also replace anything cheap i find along the way just in case, so that the niggling things are never an issue. Best of luck! Bought my CPS from FCP Euro. Lifetime warranty.
