What am I missing? About limp mode?

I've been racking my brain and googling/reading everything I can but I obviously am missing something. This is going to be long, filled with rookie mistakes but I have the best of intentions. Please bear with me....

Starters, I own a w211 e55 amg and my son has a w163 ml500 and I try my best to work on my own vehicles. I recently purchased a w211 e500 with the intentions to get it running for my sons birthday coming up in march. It was running but in limp mode and stuck in park, my brother has been driving Mercedes for 20 years and he had me convinced it was a easy conductor plate repair and it would be an easy ordeal. Scanned with star and got p0720, p0600, p0123, p1999, p2310, p2318 and a few other basic codes. So I started tearing it down and this is what I replaced.

conductor plate and filter
13 pin connecter and new fluid
shifter assembly
all 4 wheel speed sensors
Cleaned the maf
N47-5 swapped security chip
Brake light switch "twice" worth throwing 10$ at it again
Gas pedal assembly
fluid level is correct

I erased all codes and went to drive it. Cars initial limp mode was a very slow rev, hold the gas pedal down to the floor and it would climb 100 rpms a second. Now I can rev freely but it's still stuck in park and the new limp mode is stuck in what seems to be 2nd gear. I bypass the stuck in park with the shift Interlock button. Codes still coming up are p0720, 9021, 1999. I'm swapping my e55 batteries tomorrow since I read that sometimes a bad battery will lock the shifter in park. But everything I've read for limp mode and stuck in park I have replaced, I've cleared codes which come right back. The p2068/p0720 and p20CC-008/p1999 are in the ME-SFI 2.8 module. And there are no transmission codes in its module.

That p2068/p0720 code, output shaft speed sensor has got me stumped. I know the 722.9 trans has that built into the conductor plate but the 722.6 doesn't. My brother has replaced a 722.6 on his clk55 and said there are no other connections in the trans but the 13 pin. And the speed sensors in the conductor plate are listed as rpm sensors. I'm stumped. Maybe I need to take a step back and rethink. What am I missing? What else could cause limp mode and being stuck in park? All these parts are cheap so I dont mind throwing a couple parts at it based on others similar issues. These are my first Mercedes and they are easy to work on minus the can bus system, lol. If anyone has fixed these issues please let me know, or even if you just have a different direction you think I should go in let me know.

Thanks for letting me vent and I thank you guys in advance for any advice or constructive criticism.

Unless you have the conductor plate plate rebuilt, doesn't that have to be coded by the dealer?

Got a scanner that shows individual wheel speeds? Wondering if you have a broken reluctor ring that throws off the speed signal from 1 wheel (triggering the rough road sensor, p1999)
Is the car RWD or 4matic?
ABS/ESP lights on?

Yea, I have borrowed star from my brother at the moment. Its RWD and yep the ABS and ESP lights are on. Do you the jack stands would work or would it be better to drive it while a passenger monitors the speeds? Do you know where in star to look for and monitor?

Check them on the road if possible so all 4 wheels are moving the same speed. Not sure exactly where to monitor with DAS, guessing there is a "actual values" or similar in the abs module

I ordered the reluctor "abs" rings today. I'll install them and monitor live with star once it's complete. Thanks for the info.
