Totally!
You get your Angstroms yet? If not, you have been waiting longer than me, and wheels are late as well.

In NY virtually no radio stations broadcast any useable RDS info Usually A flimsy advertising slogan which they never change. I guess they figure that in this market, they're going to make money anyway, so why bother doing any extra work in setting up their RDS broadcast info.
Its a feature that would work well if stations transmitted their programming type, that way as you cruise around the state & lose a station you could search for another of the same program type. The point is moot though since satellite is where you get to listen listen to "1 station across the nation" & you DO get artist/title info!

The deal is that the previous mfg kept screwing up and cuting wheels out of tolerance. So after many arugements, they decided to cancel the remaining batches and switch manufacturers. So should be done in a few weeks... the situation was explained to me, looks like the owner just kept getting stroked off. He didnt want to jeopardize quailty/design so he had to swich.

2014 BMW 550i
Previously RDS did not seem to be too useful to me, because I had not seen a whole lot of information transmitted. But a recent drive in a BMW with RDS changed my mind quickly, as the song and artist info was popping up on the screen. At that point I realized how much I wanted the feature.
On a side note, a little device by Sony that was once on the market was called the eMarker. It was a little keychain like thing that had a button that you can press when you heard a song on the radio that you liked. Then it would plug in to the USB port on your computer, where you could enter the station that you were listening too, an it would show you the song that was on at that time you pressed the button. Cool thing that had been dearly beloved, but if I could get RDS, it wouldn't be needed.

Has anyone been able to get into this "357" screen on a 2004 E500? I can't get mine to work and I was wondering what everyone is referring to when saying that it's hard to do. What is the hard part about doing it??? Is it just a timing issue or what? I'm wondering if I just need to keep trying or not.
Thanks,

Does anyone know how to activate RDS on a Canadian spec 2004 S211 Audio 50 (w/o APS)?
I've read elsewhere that RDS is used to automatically set the Audio 50's clock (versus COMAND's clock which apparently is set by GPS), but my unit does not display RDS, and there's no menu option to establish RDS.
Is there perhaps an Audio 50 backdoor akin to the COMAND backdoor described herein, which I could use to enable the RDS function?
