COMAND doesn't recognize ignition
Hey all,
I have a 08 E350. This issue started when my battery died while inflating a flat tire while my ignition was off. I let the battery sit like that (dead) overnight (I guess this was a mistake), and the next morning went to start my car and it started fine and the battery seemed to be ok?
After driving for 30 mins, I notice a message on my COMAND telling me to turn on my ignition on, even though I was driving. I also noticed my map was stuck at my house, where my battery died the night before. Then, when I turned off my car and removed the key, I noticed my COMAND stayed on when before, it would turn off after I removed the key. When I turn on my car, the COMAND doesn't turn on either- I must manually turn it on. This is all different from before my battery died.
Clearly my COMAND is no longer recognizing my ignition. I've tried changing all the relevant fuses (#26, 28, and 6 in the trunk).
Any ideas on what may be wrong/what I can do to fix this?

Try disconnecting battery ground line for 15-20 minutes to force a system reset.
