Hey guys , i need a quick answer, i don't know anything about the wiring, i'm trying to hook up a backup camera, i guess i wasnt able to connect right cables together. Would you please tell me the color of the negative and positive reverse lights wires are?

Hey mate I did mine and it was a ****en ***** of a job even with a specially made W211 licence plate light mounted camera! I found on mine the tail light wiring was only 3 wires in the corner of wagon, the connector I had for the reverse light was middle brown wire was ground/negative and the pink wire was positive.
Easiest way to test is strip off the red and black on the camera power feed, put the car in reverse with the key all the way on before starting.
Push the red and black into the back of the tail light connector and trial and error it until you work out which pins are the ones that peer the camera when reverse lights are one.
Then carefully splice into those two wires and wrap it in heat shrink or quality electrical tape to keep it safe.
Buy a multimeter and probe the wires on the rear taillight harness. It should take a total of 5 minutes to determine which wires are needed.
I tapped off the 12v power adaptor in the trunk since it's closer/easier. Plus no possibility of throwing a malfunction if the taillight sees a drop in voltage.
