Can you say over-engineered? What a pain it is to replace the air filters. But I'm glad I did. Car is 20 months old and 26,700 miles. You should have seen the junk in the air boxes! Bugs, leaves, pebbles, etc. I tapped the old filters on a piece of paper I had in the garage. Tons of dirt came falling out. I know some of you dislike the K&N's but I've used them for the past 10 years with no problems. Service advisor and mechanic at the dealer recommended them as well. Cheap maintenance if you plan on keeping the car a long time!

I have no idea where the interior filter is. I think the dealer replaced that one a while back. Probably a good idea as well to get that one replaced. The "free maintenance" intervals is too long for my taste for things like air filter.
