2004 E320 issue

Hello everyone, so I have a 2004 E320 wagon sometime when I stop the veh like at a stop sigh it feels like it died. When I than press the gas it doesn’t do anything but if I push it to the ground it flys forward and moves. Any ideas what this could be?

I have the same car I loved it it was just recently stolen and I'm still dealing with the fact that I no longer have it unfortunately but I never experienced anything like that.

Clean the throttle body? But just fyi, getting access to that might be difficult. You will encounter rubber hoses and gaskets that are rock hard. So you might want to consider replacing them. There is a rubber gasket that sits between the throttle body and the engine block, and also all the breather hoses (I think there are 5).

What about the basics? Engine air filter? Spark plugs? Fuel filter replaced? This may have been done if you had a recall for leaking fuel pump. How many miles on the car?
Lastly, what about the gas pedal itself? It may not be working properly now? Are you able to rev the engine when the car is in park or neutral?

How was it stolen? Did they get a hold of your keys?

There are two plastic clips. I think there are two, but maybe one. It is down low. You have to release the clips in order to get the elbow out. Try using a long flat screwdriver to help release it. You have taken off the top portion first? There should be some online guides showing how to take it off.

Once you've gone over all the basic maintenance stuff, if you still have an issue, I would suggest finding a local Mercedes mechanic. The basic maintenance you have to do regardless. Might as well save money doing it yourself. But if it doesn't solve your throttle problem, then instead of throwing money at it, find a trustworthy mechanic familiar with Mercedes. Might save you time and money that way.
