Will European UHI work with US GSM phone?
I've purchased a US E320CDI for European Delivery. I happen to use a US based GSM cell phone (Motorola V600 & ATTWireless). From what I can figure out, the European cars support various GSM phones using the HUI cradle without requiring a special MB phone. So, while I'm in Germany next week with my car, can I simply go to a dealer and have the proper cradle installed and use it with my Motorola V600? or can this be installed at the Delivery Center at pickup? or can I purchase the necessary parts and bring them home for installation later? I did not order the car with any MB phone option given the high cost and uncertain utitility. If it is possible to do this, any ideas what might be necessary and what it might cost?
