Factory iPod kit - (iPod-Interface B6 782 42 52)
The 30pin iPod cable is frayed and non operative. I want to replace the cable (and attach a bluetooth adapter to the old iPhone (30pin) connector). Where do I find the replacement cable?
I have the same problem, the 30 pin connector is hanging on by a thread, and causes a slight hum if i use aux cable. Barring a new cable, if i could get a diagram of the wires in the cable and what contacts they should be soldered to i would be pretty happy. My last and kinda out there thought would be hacking it off and somehow swapping with a usb plug.
Glad you got things working. The 3.5mm jack was enabled on mine so it worked, but had line interference. I think i might just get a bluetooth adaptor then. I wasn't sure what the other end of the cable looked like on the other end, or if it went into a separate module. Prolly gonna get one of these https://www.ebay.com/itm/39315762747...MAAOSwdPJgOI-N
indeed it does charge the 4G touch, and thus i suspect all 30 pinners.
lol, the fraying on this old cable was when i pulled it through the hole instead of pushing it. still had some pinching from before (i could only get my hands on a used kit).
as you can see, the heat shrink approach did not help due to how much the cable moves and the location.
this thing is the bomb. there is no alternative once you have it (i have a dension gateway 500s as my CDC that i don't ever use, i got it for a great deal).
Hello, could you share the link to the place you got this cable from? For some reason it was previously cut when I got the car from a dealer.
Good luck trying to find it. It's been discontinued and no one seems to have it anymore. Haven't seen one for sale in a couple of years. Mine was also falling apart. You could always just plug in the aux connector into Comand but then you won't be able to use an ipod.
