W211 loses RPM and shuts down on Reverse
Hi,
I have an Automatic E220 W211 2004 with 195000 Km on it. Recently, there is a new problem that only happens when the car is at operating temperature(90-100 degrees). With a cold vehicle, this issue never comes up. When i put the car in reverse, the engine starts to stall and lose RPM. Pressing the accelerator usually prevents shutting down of the engine but sometimes even that doesn't help and the vehicle shuts down. This only happens when the vehicle is stopped and I put on reverse gear. To get out of the situation, I have to press the brake pedal lightly and switch the shifter gently. There are no issues whatsoever in forward gear. What could be the possible issue and solution?
