Squirting Noise When Braking
Has anyone experienced an intermittent, and rather loud, squirting noise when braking? The best way I can describe it is that it sounds like a Windex bottle when you first begin priming the pump to spray Windex. The dealer has not been able to reproduce the problem, and a search of the forum did not reveal any brake issue that seemed similar. In addition, like the Windex bottle, pumping the brakes 5 or 7 times makes the noise go away for a while. Any thoughts appreciated!

Brake noises
This is one of the more popular noises that the wonderful braking system in the E Class and SL class inflicts on its owners. This is the sound of the self cleaning pads before the brakes are fully actuated. I have found that dust can affect the system and cause the noise to occur. Thorough washing of the wheels and brakes ameliorates the problem but won't eliminate it. The dealer can soak the brake pads themselves in a chemical compound which will eliminate the noise for a month or two.

You got something against dolphins?
I had this noise in my 2003 SL500, 2003 SL55, 2003 E55 and now my 2004 E320 CDI. Get used to it.
