Brakes go "squoink?"
Ever since I washed my car last weekend, the brakes have made a "squoink" noise whenever I depress the pedal. I only used car-washing soap and water, no chemicals (this time). I have heard the noise in the past, but if I took it to the shop for anything, they fixed it.
Any idea what this is or how to get rid of it?
Thanks

Are you sure it is "squoink" and not "squack"...or "squish"?

Coincidence?
By coincidence, my brakes appear to have developed the same problem, which I described yesterday as the sound a Windex bottle makes when one first starts to pump the spray attachment, only louder and deeper. It clearly is not a brake pedal noise, as the squionk also occurs when my car is in cruise control and the cc engages the brakes. My dealer can't replicate the problem, as it's intermittent. Please let me know if you find a solution, as it's driving me nuts.

On rare occasions, I've heard the sound after I've washed the car, but it went away in a day or so. I'm working on a week and a half now. Did I get water somewhere that shouldn't get water? I only spray the wheels normally.

Do you guys powerwash your brakes to make sure there is no brake dust accumulation?
Talking about break dust on the '05.......I am fed up with it.
Do we really need to use the brakes? Why can't we tie the spouse on the end of a line and throw her out as an anchor? Or maybe use a pedestrian or three as a stopping cushion?

My CLK500 has a slow speed(3-5 mph) squeak and previously a very loud squeak which required new pads and rotors @ 3500 miles.
E55 have brake issues
CL 65's and 500's have the slow speed squeak
E500/320 have brake issues.
What's going on here, never had these issues with my CLK 430's (99 00 01)

Like it has done in the past, the squoink went away. Didn't hear it at all since yesterday morning. This time it took 10 days to fade, usually only a couple days.
