Hello all , my question is how do I play music from my phone to the stereo , I already paired it but all I can do is make calls and such . Is there a secret menu ? I’m currently using the aux in the drivers side compartment but I lose a big part of the max volume which sucks . Thanks !

It is my understanding that audio over Bluetooth is not supported on those models, I think it is supported on 2012 and up, maybe.
I am in the same position.
Thinking of getting an adapter that is supposed to go in between the optical system that can enable me to play music over Bluetooth but I haven't decided what to do just yet.

I own two of these vehicles and have the same problem. Hands free phone is OK but there is no clean solution to stream audio. One vehicle is getting a Dension system that replaces the CD changer in the optical loop. I am going to try the solution below for the second car. It replaces the aux jack in the glove box. Most phones can have multiple bluetooth connections, one for calls and the second for audio streaming.

I have a Bluetooth adapter plugged into the aux on my 2007 E550. Takes up literally zero space in the glovebox and works like Bluetooth does on any modern car
