20" and lowering, body kits

Guys

As the day I am getting my E approaches, it's time to start thinking mods. Wheels and suspension would be at the top of the list. Questions:
- are Eibach Pro-Line springs any good? The Sportline series or H&R seem too low, ride quality too crappy.
- if i lower the car with Eibach springs (1.4" drop in front, 1.6" in rear per manufacturer), can I still get 20"s (maybe 8.5 all around?) or would there be rubbing issues? Are 19"s safe and a much better ride quality?
- what wheels do you guys prefer? I really like the Lorinser LM1s (old school) but haven't seen any W211s with them on - any pics?

Finally, an unrelated question: are there any front bumper lips (add ons) for the W211? Don't mind fiberglass. Don't really feel like replacing the whole bumper.

Thanks in advance,
Sergiu

You are better off to get 19's instead of 20's. 20" will probably need to roll the fenders and it is not too practical. If you're to get aftermarket wheels, you should get 19x8.5/19x8.5 instead. 8.5s all around doesnt look good. You can e-mail me for any wheel advice/suggestions.

Carlsson makes front and rear add-on skirt for the W211. But they are more like a bumper cover than a skirt or lip. It covers 2/3 of the bumper.

As for suspension, Eibach is a good choice, so does Brabus. Both can lower your car a bit but yet keep the nice ride.

Wow

That Wald kit is pretty nice but indeed too low for my taste. What size wheels are those?

Now, with 19"s and 8.5" in front and 9.5" in the back plus the Eibach drop do I still need to roll fenders? Does anyone have any pictures of such a setup? And one more thing - why does 8.5" all around look bad?

Thank you all for the replies - very very helpful. I will post pics when I get the beast.

One more thing

Any feedback on (and/or pictures of) Lowenhart LM1s on the W211? I like that old(er) school look but aside from the simulation at tirerack.com (which sells replicas of these wheels) I haven't been able to find anything on this.

Thanks again,
Sergiu

Those dronell are 20's. Nice replica of BM 3 and it's forged too.

Am I the only one who can't open the three image links posted by W0n6_3d4n?
All I get is garbage text. Tried to open them in both MSIE and Firefox, too.

But why not 19x8.5 all around?

Someone mentioned 19x8.5 all around would look bad - can you please elaborate on this, maybe post pictures?

Also, would 19"s and the Eibach drop rub with the factory (non-sport package setup) and do I have to roll the fenders or not?

Thanks again guys,
Sergiu

My Brabus dealer insists that need to roll the wheel arches with 19" on standard ride height.

Damn

Then no question about the fact that they need to be rolled if dropped... How difficult is it to do that, who does it etc? Also, what's a typical price for this?

Thanks,
Sergiu

The Brabus dealer were able to do it. relatively easy and about $300.
