Metal intermittent grinding sound when turning
I am having some serious metal grinding sound when turning. The sound is intermittent, and often occurs when turning almost all the way to the right. I think the sound is coming from the front right side. It`s almost like rotors crushing into rotors. The car also makes grinding sound when turning in low speed, but not as much as the intermittent sound.
I have replaced both CV axles (OEM parts), engine and transmission mounts, tie rods, TC oil, and checked oil-level of front differential. In higher speeds the sound dissapeares.
Anyone got a clue what this can be? Thanks.

- check brake disc both sides and the pads,
- rotate the wheel while putting lateral pressure -- > listen to the bearing noise
- I would try to check the front axle somehow regardless if they are new (you never know)
- and since your car is 4matic, correct? --> Check the front drive axle for the U-Joint, they seem to disintegrate

Took my car to a lift yesterday and checked some of the points you mentioned. When Im rotating the wheel i`m getting some kind of chattering, which increases with the speed. Found a video on youtube with excact same sound, where he found out it came from the wheel bearing.
