SBC Pump Compatibility

Hey guys,

I've got an SBC pump in an E320 with part number A0094312512. I found one at a scrap yard with part number A0054319712. I was told that if they are in succession then they're compatible. Are these number compatible and how can one tell?

Thanks

Don’t remember if this was discussed but there is a 25 year extended warranty on SBC unit, see attachment. Doesn’t look like 9712 is compatible, different software. If there are no covered damage (fault) codes stored you can request attached recall, if not documented in VMI as completed, be performed. If re-programming fails you are entitled to replacement unit at no cost. Recalls do not expire.

Unfortunately we don’t have that recall here in Australia as it’s US only.

what about 72 12, is that compatible with 97 12?

This is my concern with having a 2004-05 E320. Even if I can take advantage of the warranty, the unit will go bad again (around 100k miles seems typical?) and after the warranty is gone then it's a big expensive problem again. I keep my cars forever so it would be a factor for me.

Or are the revised SBC units fixed and won't have the same issue as the ones under the warranty?

>207,000 miles on my car with original SBC unit. The pressure reservoir is reading at the minimum recommended pressure but has not yet triggered any codes. When it does, into the dealer I go.

Just to clarify the part number what I would like to use is A0054319712 not A0054317912 if it matters. I dont know cars that well, so am I able to use that part on my car?

Part #s posted is what ISPUSA is showing as compatible, 9712 = 230 (M class).
