Done to death I know, but is there another fix for bouncy lock?
Just one item of the extensive and expensive repair list I've been given by the garage is defective lock actuators, now I've seen the tape fix but was wondering if it actually requires the resistance of the tape or whether a little constant upward resistance, something like a pulling spring placed above the door button would also work. I have an idea if that is the case.

Amazingly cheap fix, but also a PITA in winter and not a simple job, I was just toying with the idea of something that was easy to install as this does seem to be a bit of an issue and also one that takes a degree of ability.
